  • TWO DAYS WITH T-PAIN

We’re in LA doing promos for T-Pain’s new album rEVOLVEr. Yesterday, the guy from Drunk History came by and Pain said he wants to get wasted and tell everyone about the Willie Lynch letter. Apparently, the guy behind the word “lynching” had a master plan for masters that would sound funny to hear about from a shitfaced black man.

Then today, Kevin Hart comes by and right before the shoot I go, “Be hilarious.”  So, the shoot goes well and he was super fucking funny but everyone kept patting him on the back telling him how good he was. NOT ONE PERSON thanked Australia me for online casino telling him to be hilarious in the casino first place. How fucked up is that? Shit, I wouldn’t be surprised if his next comedy special is hilarious and he keeps getting paid for it all over the country without so much as a thank you. Unbelievable.

  • BONGOS ARE HARD

At a meeting with Ish yesterday, I took some time out of making fun of Ethan’s bongos and actually tried them out. They’re a lot harder to play than they look. They look like bongos but they’re really hand drums and every mistake is amplified tenfold. Ethan and I raged for so long I was almost a convert (almost). Next meeting I’ll take some time out of making fun of his headset and give that a whirl too.

  • SXSW: LIVE!

Just got back from Austin’s South by Southwest music festival where we were doing a shoot with Ray Ban for Black Book Magazine. Made fun of the creative director and photographer for being obsessed with sunscreen and proceeded to get so fried I look like a lobster dressed as a tomato for Halloween. Otherwise, the shoot went well and we got some great shots during a global water fight they put on which happened in 12 different cities and was simultaneously broadcast online. When the shoot was over we went to check out some bands which I found to be pretty dull. When you’re 40, a big part of SXSW is waiting for the bands to shut up.
